IT2 Advisory Committee
Our council was one of four Girl Scout councils across the country selected to partner with Girl Scouts of the USA to develop a girl centric council-national partnership model. The goal of the partnership is to broaden the scope and reach of girl voices to ensure their voices are being infused at all levels in Girl Scouting. Teen girls in Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines have the opportunity to serve on the it2 - Inspire Today. Inspire Tomorrow - Advisory Team.
Girls serving on the advisory team discuss girls in Girl Scouting including approaches to teen and girl issues at large. They provide input and direction on the council and national level. Members of the advisory team are also serving on national teams of girls and adults in areas such as community action, publication review, writing, and convention planning. IT2 members meet with staff from Girl Scouts of the USA and are representing Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines and Girl Scouts of the USA at council, regional, and national events.
